Project : Architect and develop the site Hippo Happenings.

Description

Solely Developed and ran HippoHappenings LLC as an experimental venture. Built the business model for, managed the design and layout of, and developed the site Hippo Happenings – a site for local events, venues and groups. The mission of the project was to strengthen the community at the exclusion of big corporations by focusing on local venues, local events, local groups of communities and local classifieds. Developed the entire web app from scratch including venue, event, group, forum and classifieds creation. Worked with Venues and Event sponsors to incorporate their happenings into the site. Further utilized desktop and console apps written in C#.NET for administering emails, event alerts, event recommendations and systematic input and parsing of events from event websites. Performed case studies with Portland State University Business Marketing students for site usability and user experience performance.
